We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) 2025 – the highest honour given to local voluntary groups in the UK, and equivalent to an MBE.
This prestigious national award recognises and celebrates the remarkable dedication of our volunteers – including the Trustees – who play a vital role in every part of the organisation, from front of house and café operations to technical support, event stewarding and box office services. Their hard work, dedication and generosity make everything we do possible.
The King’s Award for Voluntary Service was created in 2002 to celebrate Her Late Majesty The Queen’s Golden Jubilee and has continued following the accession of His Majesty The King. 2025 marks the third year of the award under the new title. Recipients are announced annually on 14 November – The King’s Birthday.
