We’ve recently welcomed some hugely popular and nationally recognised comedians to our stage, and we are thrilled to have even more exciting names already in the pipeline. New to Cranleigh Arts this season, we are also delighted to present a Community Fashion Show, featuring clothing sourced from local charity shops. We can’t wait to transform our stage into a vibrant catwalk, celebrating local creativity, sustainable fashion, and community spirit. All the outfits showcased on the night will be available to buy, giving you the chance to take a piece of the show home with you. I’m especially excited about this year’s Open Exhibition Competition. The 2026 theme is Music, and I can’t wait to see the creativity it inspires in our local artists. You could paint a favourite instrument, capture the atmosphere and energy of a live performance, or even create while listening to music that inspires you. The winning artists will receive their own exhibition in our gallery, a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work and creativity. Who would have believed that 120 years ago local water companies would pump untreated sewage into Emsworth harbour, the famous home of the finest oyster beds in Europe? Poisoned Beds is a collaboration between two highly-regarded theatre writers and will delight audiences with its clever combination of comedy and sadness, sharp dialogue, unexpected plot twists and wonderfully witty lyrics. The man behind the velvety alto saxophone of The Dave Brubeck Quartet and composer of Take Five, Desmond was one of the most creative figures in jazz. Top professional saxophonist Simon Bates has played with many musical stars, and with his all-star rhythm section, Simon will be emulating Desmond’s tones during an evening celebrating his music, interspersed with anecdotes from his life. 4 Cranleigh Comedy Club: Sunday Night Special SUNDAY, 5 JULY, 7.30PM £13 Alongside our much-loved bimonthly comedy nights, we’re excited to bring you a special one-off Sunday evening show. This is your chance to catch two brilliant comedians as they fine-tune their latest material ahead of the Edinburgh Festival—expect fresh ideas, unexpected moments, and plenty of laughs as they test out work in progress.
