An Exhibition titled ‘Cloth and Clay’ by the joint winners of the public vote from the 2024 Cranleigh Arts Open Exhibition. Deena Goff, a textile artist uses different types of textiles and fabrics, playing with textures in a variety of techniques. With a background in quilting, she still adheres to a quilt’s construction definition as ‘a minimum of two layers held together with stitch’ Gaynor Wilson is a ceramic artist who works with clay slabs, creating textured surfaces to enhance the effects of her glazes. Using a raku kiln, the ceramics embrace the unpredictable nature of firing, allowing chance and flame to shape the final outcome of each piece.
